Feast Asia ox

Friday, 24 October 2014

Hey Guys!!
Even though Mums' Birthday was on the Monday we actually celebrated it on the Sunday and went to a new restaurant that recently opened.
It was called Feast Asia, this is the website HERE and its basically an all you can eat buffet and you can also have food off the live cooking station and its all for £11.99. I didn't have loads to eat as I am quite fussy when it comes to my food but there is such a big selection of curries, chicken, desserts and lots more.
I didn't take many photos but here's the few I did take.

This was Mums' Cocktail

Hope You Enjoyed This Quick Little Post.

Baking For Mums' Birthday ox

Wednesday, 22 October 2014

Hey Guys!!
It was my Mums' Birthday on Monday so as a surprise I thought I would bake her a cake and some cupcakes to go with it. I haven't baked in a while which I really need to start doing more of as I really do love baking a lot. I did try to do a Rainbow sponge but it didn't go quite to plan so I baked up the usual Vanilla sponge that I've done before. You can have a look at the recipe HERE if you'd like to have a go.
As I had to make 24 cupcakes and 2 sponges I multiplied the ingredients by 4, so what I used was:
Butter 440g
Caster Sugar 440g
Eggs 8
Vanilla Extract 4tsp
Self Raising Flour 440g
Milk 4-8tbsp

The first thing I did was cream the Butter and Caster Sugar together. I always love how it looks when its creamed.

I then added in the 8 Eggs and mixed it together.

I then added in the 4tsp of Vanilla Extract, this is what makes the sponge taste so nice and the smell when baking is gorgeous.

Now normally I just weigh the flour and put it in, but this time I actually remembered to sift it. Then I mixed it altogether, I must say I have an electric mixer which made it easier.

Then I added 8tbsp of Milk in and that was the cake mix already. I had already turned on the Oven to 180 degrees so it warmed up as I made the cake mix.

I then spooned out mix into 24 cupcake cases and then weighed out half of the leftover mix into my cake tin. I had to bake one sponge and 12 cupcakes first, then bake the other sponge and 12 cupcakes while the first lot was cooling.

I actually forgot to take a picture of the sponge, silly me, but it looks just like the cupcakes just a bigger circle.

I had already made up Buttercream Icing and stored it in the fridge ready to decorate. I iced all the cupcakes and put on the rice paper pictures, you can get these HERE. I then iced one half of the sponge and put jam on the other half and put them together. I then rolled out the fondant icing, which I need to practice with a bit more as I can't quite get it decent enough, then put the cake topper on. You can get this topper HERE.
I hope you enjoyed this post.

My Night Routine ox

Friday, 17 October 2014

Hey Guys!!
The night I think is my favourite time of the day as I can snuggle up with a really good film or a book. This routine is quite similar to my morning one but obviously I'm getting into pjs. So here is my night routine :)

So the very first thing I do is cleanse my face, I don't always do this as I forget sometimes when I'm really tired.
I then get into some really warm pyjamas, these are my favourite style pyjamas when it comes to Autumn/Winter.
I then either curl up in this blanket or my huge, warm duvet in bed with a book or maybe a film if Llewellyn is home, especially on weekends.
Also depending on how I'm feeling I sometimes have a nice, relaxing bath.
I then go to sleep at roughly 11pm.
What's your favourite thing to do at night when getting ready for bed?

My Morning Routine ox

Wednesday, 15 October 2014

Hey Guys!!
I've finally got myself into a morning routine, it's a miracle!!! I have a habit of just getting up when I feel like it rather than a reasonable time, I don't work at the moment so my routine was all over the place. So I thought I would share with you that routine :)

So the first thing I do is wake up at 7am, every other day I get up at this time and have a shower.

Once I've had my shower I then cleanse and wash my face.

Once I'm all clean & smelling nice, I do myself a nice, hot cup of tea and some jam on toast.

I always clean my teeth after I've eaten and taken my tablets.

Depending on whether I have a shower or not, I either get dressed after my shower or after breakfast.

And that is it to be honest, just a nice, simple routine.

Do you have a similar routine or do you do something different?

Legoland ox

Friday, 10 October 2014

Hey Guys!!
We have always wanted to go to Legoland and we had the opportunity to go as we collected the vouchers in the Sun newspaper and got free tickets. If any of you lovely readers decide you want to go I would definitely do it this way as it can be expensive to get in :)
Anyway, we had an amazing day, we spent a good six hours there and managed to look at everything. We did go on a few rides, Llewellyn got me to go on a waterslide and safe to say I was terrified, I don't really like rides.
I will leave you now with a few pics that I took on my phone as I forgot to charge my camera, blogger fail!!

Corfu: Trip to Paxos and Antipaxos x

Wednesday, 1 October 2014

Hey Guys!!
The last excursion we did was Paxos and Antipaxos, which are two small Islands about 2 hours from where we were staying on a boat.
The first one we went to was Antipaxos, with this Island you can't actually go on it, you just get a chance to jump off the boat into the sea. I actually faced my fear and went into the sea with Llewellyn, we did have life jackets on as we can't swim!! I was petrified, I could literally feel a panic attack coming on, I made Llewellyn hold my hand and wouldn't let go ha ha The water was very, very clear, it was as if we were in a pool.
I was a bit indulged in my book!!

Scary Stuff!!
We then went on from here passing a few caves to Paxos. We could go onto Paxos as you could go on a little tour of the Island, when I say it took an hour to get round because it's that small, I'm not lying!! It literally took an hour but was so nice to see. Then we went and sat in a little snack bar, I had some chocolate ice cream and Llewellyn had a mini beer and a bowl of crisps.
